Cookie & Storage Policy
This policy explains the cookies and similar device storage we use, why we use them, and how you can change your choices at any time. Last updated June 2026.
The short version
We keep tracking to a minimum. Essential storage makes the site work; a small amount of anonymous analytics helps us improve it; and โ only if you opt in โ we use visitor identification to recognise the organisation visiting us so our team can follow up. You can change or withdraw your choices any time with the link (also in the page footer).
What we store, and why
| Category | Examples | Purpose | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | lumenConsent (your cookie choices); a chat session token if you start a live chat; an admin session cookie on staff tools. | Remember your privacy choices and run features you ask for (e.g. live chat). The site can't work properly without these. | Not required (strictly necessary). |
| Analytics | An anonymous page-view count with your IP address hashed (not stored in readable form). No persistent identifier. | Aggregate, statistical understanding of how the site is used (popular pages, referrers, device types) so we can improve it. | On by default under the UK low-risk analytics exemption โ you can opt out. |
| Visitor identification | A persistent visitor ID (lumenChatVid) and your IP address, recorded with the pages you view. | Recognise the organisation visiting our site so our team can follow up about relevant services. | Off until you opt in. |
How long we keep it
Identifying information (such as your IP address and visitor ID) is automatically deleted or anonymised within 60 days. After that we retain only non-personal, aggregate statistics. Analytics data uses a hashed IP and no persistent identifier.
No third-party advertising
We don't use advertising cookies or sell your data. Analytics is first-party and used solely for our own statistics.
Managing your choices
