Today is the day: as of 14 October 2025, Microsoft has officially ended free support for Windows 10. Machines still running it will no longer receive security updates, and the risk of using them will grow with every passing month.
If youβve upgraded already, well done. If not, donβt panic β but do act. Unsupported systems shouldnβt be used for anything sensitive, and a clear upgrade or replacement plan is now urgent rather than optional.
Why this matters
- Security updates have stopped β known vulnerabilities will now go unpatched.
- Risk grows over time β the longer a PC runs Windows 10, the more exposed it is.
- Compliance and insurance β unsupported systems can breach both.
- Action is now urgent β this is no longer a future problem.
What weβd advise
We can quickly assess any remaining Windows 10 devices and get you onto a supported, secure footing β upgrading to Windows 11 or replacing hardware that canβt make the jump.
