Today is the day: as of 14 October 2025, Microsoft has officially ended free support for Windows 10. Machines still running it will no longer receive security updates, and the risk of using them will grow with every passing month.
If you’ve upgraded already, well done. If not, don’t panic — but do act. Unsupported systems shouldn’t be used for anything sensitive, and a clear upgrade or replacement plan is now urgent rather than optional.

- Security updates have stopped — known vulnerabilities will now go unpatched.
- Risk grows over time — the longer a PC runs Windows 10, the more exposed it is.
- Compliance and insurance — unsupported systems can breach both.
- Action is now urgent — this is no longer a future problem.
